At approximately 21 inches square and 1 1/4 inches thick, this substantial carving features a trout exploding from the water toward a waiting fly, surrounded by rippling water, evergreen trees and a mountain landscape.
The larger format allows the details of the scene to really come alive—from the texture of the trout and movement of the water to the trees and mountains in the background. An integrated carved border completes the scene and gives the piece the appearance of artwork framed directly into the wood.
Each piece is carved from African mahogany, selected for its beautiful grain, warm natural coloration and ability to capture fine carving detail.
